She has lived and worked in Papua New Guinea, Vietnam, Lao and Fiji, and together with Robert is a founder of the Savan Foundation, a project in Lao designed to assist economic and social growth through self-help projects. Robert Fletcher
Director & Owner | Canberra |

When not accompanying Christine on travel missions, Robert drives a desk from which the formal aspects of the business are created, such as trip dossiers, itineraries, and new concepts. When away from the desk he makes time for riding his Ducati (red). A graduate in Economics he is capable of understanding a graph and exchange rates, but finds great pleasure in the natural environment, a valuable asset under increasing threat worldwide. Robert is co-owner with Christine, and a Director. He is involved with Savanh (Active Travel's charitable foundation) - as well as providing opportunities for young people to gain experience in the work place. Robert has been an office holder with AFTA, served on the Board of Directors for a major travel group in Australia, as well as a number of community organisations. |

Antarctica Expedition - Aboard Akademik Ioffe |
"Just a short note to let you know that Antarctica was everything I wished for and more. I really liked the fact that the owner of One Ocean, Andrew Prossin, actually led and ran our expedition. How many business owners do that these days? Sea kayaking among the icebergs, with whales left, right and centre is something that will live with me for the rest of my life. To the team at Active Travel - well done. Your obvious knowledge and passion for Antarctica made planning this trip an absolute joy - 10 out of 10 to you all." |

"You were absolutely right about Buenos Aires - we loved it. Walk to all the important sights from the hotel no problems. Iguassu was fantastic - brilliant little hotel there right near the restaurant strip. A perfect add on to the Antarctica cruise - which was something else all together. Thanks David - just an awesome trip. " |
